Our Principal Home

Welcome to Childersburg Middle School! I am honored and excited to serve as principal of a school that holds such a special place in my heart. My career in education began right here at CMS in 2009 as a seventh-grade English Language Arts teacher. During my time at Childersburg Middle School, I also had the opportunity to serve as Title I Coordinator and Instructional Technology Coach.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve students and educators in a variety of roles and grade levels. I taught third grade at Sycamore Elementary School and later taught English Language Arts at Winterboro High School, including AP Literature and other secondary ELA courses. Most recently, I served as Assistant Principal at Munford Elementary School.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts and hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo, a Master of Education in English from William Carey University, and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Montevallo. I also earned my Instructional Leadership Certification from the University of Montevallo.

Returning to Childersburg Middle School feels like coming home. I am passionate about creating a school where students are challenged academically, supported as individuals, and excited to come to school each day. I believe strong relationships, high expectations, meaningful learning experiences, and a positive school culture are essential to helping every student grow and succeed.

I am incredibly proud to serve the students, families, faculty, and community of Childersburg Middle School, and I look forward to all we will accomplish together.
