Our Assistant Principal

Mr. Alex Johnson

Mr. Alex Johnson

Hello! I am Alex Johnson, and I am excited about my first year at Childersburg Middle School. I joined Talladega County School in 2013, beginning my career at Winterboro High School, where I taught Special Education for grades 9-12. While at Winterboro, I coached softball, football, baseball, and volleyball. In 2022, I became the Assistant Principal at Stemley Road Elementary, where I served for two years.

I am a graduate of Talladega High School, having graduated in 2008. After graduating, I signed to play baseball with Talladega College but later transferred to Jacksonville State to continue my academic journey, earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Collaborative 6-12 in 2012. In 2019, I attended The University of West Alabama to pursue a degree in Instructional Leadership, completing my Master’s Degree in the spring of 2020.

I am very community-minded and love to build relationships with students outside of the classroom. Throughout my career, I have been known to support students in their endeavors within the community. I firmly believe that students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

In my time away from school, you may see me at the ball field, coaching recreational sports, at church, or spending time with my family.
